St. Patrick's day.

Can I just say that St. Patrick's day is stupid? I mean, honestly. Every year, people wear green, pinch people who don't wear green, and do anything that has to do with green. People drink green beer for crying out loud! and to celebrate WHAT, exactly? Leprechauns?! What have they got to do with anything? Does anybody really know what St. Patrick's day is about? I thought not. So what are we really celebrating? Well, It celebrates Saint Patrick, who went to Ireland, and told everyone about Jesus and the Christian religion. He tried to drive anyone to leave the country who didn't submit to suddenly believing in what St. Patrick told them about his religion. It's intolerance. What if someone came to our country, and tried to convert us all to believe in something we've never believed in? I don't care what religion you are! What if that someone wanted to hurt you, drive you away, kill you even, if you didn't believe in what they told you? Yeah. Well that's what we're celebrating on St. Patrick's day. Intolerance. AND, It has nothing to do with Leprechauns, despite the fact that they're Irish. Why do we wear green? To celebrate Saint Patrick, who wore a green shamrock. Why do we pinch people who don't wear green? It's to represent what Mr. Saint Patrick did, drive all non-christians away. Oh, well. St. Patrick's day's meaning has, of course, been forgotten to the point where we might as well call it Green day, or maybe Irish day, but I just wanted to say that it's stupid. So yeah. I'm done ranting now and I'm not going to hate the day and rain on everyone's parade, it's an excuse to celebrate, so go for it! I just wanted to say that, so yeah.
